Promoting products to people is one of the best ways to create multiple streams of residual income. This is easy to do if you find something you like and want to share with them. You see this all of the time in the affiliate and network marketing business model.

Here are four marketing tips on developing more income streams on a residual basis marketing your products.

1. Start your own blog. You can do this for free with Blogger.com. You can also hire someone or set up your own WordPress blog for fairly cheaply.

The nice thing about blogging is you can add content that search engines fall in love with. You can also set up an RSS feed for people to subscribe to your blog updates.

These both can be very good traffic sources for the product and programs you're promoting. As people come back to your blog on a regular basis they will be more likely to purchase something from you.

2. Add a sign-up form to an email newsletter on your sidebar of your blog. Doing this will automatically put the sign up form on every blog post you make.

Building an email list is a great asset that can earn you a lot of income on a residual basis. Many times when somebody purchases a product, or joins a program, it is based on timing and what's going on in their life. This is why following up on a consistent basis is so important.

3. Don't settle for just the affiliate or network marketing website. These business models do provide excellent marketing tools including your own website.

However if you want to be a little different than everybody else having your own website is smart. When you do this it also allows you to add and delete programs and products as you see fit.

Adding new products is one of the best ways to develop more multiple streams of income. This allows you to reach a wider audience than you might if you're tied just to one specific product.

Also from a marketing standpoint you can optimize your personal website so the search engines fall in love with it. This way you can develop backlinks that create long-term traffic. You can't do that with a replicated website provided by an affiliate or network marketing merchant.

4. Do some social media marketing. You cannot ignore Facebook or YouTube. Too many people hang out on these websites. Therefore social networking and video marketing should be a part of your advertising mix to create more leads and develop more income streams.

By following these 4 marketing tips you you can create more multiple streams of residual income. Plus you can have a lot of fun doing it.
